About Us
Sielaff and Hurst LLC is a certified public accounting (CPA) firm located in Boise, Idaho. We provide tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting services to small businesses and individuals located primarily in the Treasure Valley. The firm was established in 1978 by Martin Sielaff on the basis of providing high quality, timely, and reliable services, and being a trusted friend and advisor to his clients. That philosophy has remained with the firm for over 30 years. Today the firm is owned by Allen Sielaff (Martin’s son), and Jeff Hurst.
At Sielaff and Hurst we strive hard to provide our clients with the highest quality, up to date tax advice and services. Tax law is extremely complicated, and is constantly changing. Each member of our staff spends over 40 hours per year studying and learning in order to provide current information to our clients and develop tax saving strategies. We take the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances, and customize solutions to fit their business or family needs.
Our Staff
Jeff Hurst, CPA
Jeff grew up in Boise, attending Capital High School. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in accounting and Master of Accountancy in Tax from Brigham Young University, Jeff and his wife Cami, decided to move back to the Treasure Valley to raise their family. Jeff worked for a few years for one of the Big Four accounting firms in their Boise office before striking out on his own. In 2009 Jeff merged his small firm with Martin Sielaff’s firm to create Sielaff and Hurst.
Jeff has four children and has been happily married for all 12 of the years he has been married to his wonderful wife, Cami. The family enjoys camping, being outdoors, and playing games. Jeff enjoys bird hunting and fishing, backpacking, gardening, and reading.
Martin Sielaff, CPA
Martin started the firm 30 years ago. Not being able to fully give it up yet, Martin still helps out on several projects each year. Martin’s depth and breadth of knowledge are an invaluable resource to the firm and it’s clients. If you don’t find him in the office on any given day, you can find him in his wood shop building something beautiful, or at a Boise State game.
